HOLY OCTAVE CONSECRATION &
FEAST DAY TO GOD OUR FATHER
AUGUST 6th 2023, 1st Sunday in August
( Proposed Feast Day for God under the title of "Father of All Mankind " )
The origin of the official format for the Consecration (referenced from God Our Father Consecration and Feast Day for the Father of All Mankind booklet (published 1998 St. Andrew's Production) states in the Overview, that the Octave can be celebrated at any time, preferably a Sunday to Sunday and it is suggested the Octave begins during an 8 day period which ends on the 1st Sunday of August being the proposed Feast Day to honor God the Father under the title of Father of All Mankind.
The Holy Octave of this year of 2023 begins on July 30th, Sunday, and will end the following Sunday August 6th, 2023.
Note: The Holy Octave is not to be confused with a novena which typically ends the day before the Feast. Some websites /groups have and do at present promulgate this devotion stating that the Holy Octave is from Saturday to Saturday as in the way Novenas are often done, which would end the day before the feast and celebrate the feast on Sunday. The Father expressly asked for it to be in August with solemn liturgical celebration including Holy Mass ( on the 8th month) to *Mother Eugenia Ravasio (*see below ) and then in the eve of her life began to develop it further with Barbara Rose Centilli (Seeing With the Eyes of the Soul, inspiration of the Formal Act of Consecration booklet proposition mentioned above ) confirming God the Fathers Words to M. Eugenia as well as B.R.C. which adds the Daily 24 hour period Themes culminating on the 8th day "Consecration" as an octave (8 days, not 9).
The Act of ones formal Consecration is meant to be on the Sunday of the Feast Day, the proposed Feast of the Father of All Mankind. And we ought to do it this way because otherwise the Daily Theme of Consecration ends on Saturday and the Act of Consecration would be performed liturgically on Saturday. Some may argue to begin on the Saturday vigil and end on the following Saturday vigil Mass for the 8th day Theme which would include Sunday but in the case of an Octave with Daily Themes this is flawed because it would push the 2 final daily Themes (Fidelity and Consecration) into one day since the Holy Mass is preferably part of the Daily Renewal and only Saturdays have a vigil Mass for the following day. This would actually start the celebration of the Feast Day of the Father of All Mankind on Saturday night rather than Sunday and in the future when we do celebrate it on a parish or larger group level, having the Mass, renewal with celebrations after etc. (5 hours or more all together) is not functional for the final 7th day of the Octave to put the last 2 day themes on the one last Saturday nor is it effective theologically or even to the human experience to dedicate 2 daily themes of intentional purification, preparedness and celebration (Steps) into one day... it is liking having one foot on the 7th step and one foot on the 8th step climbing the Octave Steps to the Father's Divine Paternal Heart simultaneously trying to enter when your foot is still on the 7th step.
In order to launch this devotion on a solid foundation and unite anticipating the global recognition of the Holy Octave the only way to consecrate yourself is on the Feast Day but mostly because that is God the Fathers' express desire. Can we honestly say that we are doing all of this to honor Him and glorify Him if we are not doing it as He Himself instructed and inspired through His mouthpieces as well as chosen publisher, Dr. Thomas Petrisko who worked closely with Barbara, and who also is president and founder of the God the Father of All Mankind Apostolate.
Let us all who love the Father and want to be united with Him and desire to spread this devotion be united in the truth, following His words as He Himself gave them to us.
("...To be known, loved and honoured with a special devotion, I do not ask for anything extraordinary. I desire only this: 1. I desire that one-day, or, at least a Sunday, be dedicated to honouring Me in a special way under the title of Father of all Mankind. For this feast, I would like a special Mass and Office. It is not difficult to find the texts in the Holy Scriptures. If you prefer to offer Me this special devotion on a Sunday, I choose the first Sunday of August. If you prefer a weekday, I would like it to be always the seventh day of the same month. ...") The Father Speaks to His Children approved msgs to M. Eugenia Ravasio
Ave Pater! and a Holy Octave of Consecration to ALL!

SDBV: Sons & Daughters of the Blessed Virgin ...
|
|
Br. Mariamartin de la Cruz was inspired to found Sons & Daughters of the Blessed Virgin in order to spread devotion to Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, on the (Feast of the Annunciation 1993). This charism remains in the preparatory phase as it awaits maturation and more members (at least 40) and permanent residence. SDBV.org was the first online platform to spread this Charism but in 2013, through 5 years of technical problems on the servers end, other failed attempts and finances, updating the site was no longer possible though the original site remained online for viewing and contact purposes. In 2018, editing was again made possible but only in a limited manner.
Consideration to move the site to a new server and/or offer a minimally edited original site is currently under way.
